Systemic / Family Therapy
Working with the whole, not just the parts.
Systemic Therapy focuses on relationships — how we speak, listen, respond, and repeat. It helps families and couples understand the patterns that shape their dynamics and emotions. Instead of asking “What’s wrong with this person?”, we explore “What’s happening between us — and how can it change?”
Why families seek therapy

- Communication breakdowns
- Emotional disconnection
- Repeating arguments
- Children’s behavioural challenges
- Transitions, illness, or trauma
- Generational tension and cultural gaps
Whether you come as a couple, parent and child, or blended family — this work invites everyone to be heard, not blamed.
How it works
Sessions are 90 minutes and typically begin weekly. As changes take root, we meet less frequently.
We may suggest structured conversations or small relational experiments to try between sessions. These help you bring insight into everyday life.
Therapy can be short-term or open-ended, depending on your goals.
When individual work is part of the journey
Systemic therapy addresses the between. But sometimes, what blocks a shift in the system lies within one of its members:
– old trauma,
– internal conflict,
– attachment injuries,
– or emotional patterns rooted beyond the current family.
In such moments, we may recommend short‑term or ongoing individual therapy, as a parallel or follow-up process. This work is offered by Tom Jagiello, with whom we collaborate closely.
